We highly recommend the Brasov by foot team to help you discover both Peles Castle and Bran Castle.
Peles Castle
Peles Castle was built at the initiative of the first King of Romania, Carol I, outside the perimeter of Podul Neagului commune, a locality with an area of 24 km in 1874, the year when, at the sovereign’s initiative, the commune receives the name of Sinaia. A year later, in the center of the village are built the first boyar houses, and in 1876 begins the construction of the railway Ploiesti – Predeal, which also crosses Sinaia. At the same time, between 1873 and 1875, the foundation of the Peles Castle was built. The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the residence took place in a festive setting on August 10/22, 1875.

In the four-storey museum are exhibited collections of furniture, costumes, weapons and armor, and the Bran Domain also includes the Royal Park with the two lakes, the Tea House, the Administrator’s House and the Princess Ileana House.
