Your next stop will be the Rupea citadel, situated on top of a small hill, above the city with the same name. This is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Romania, the first signs of human settlements here dating from the Paleolithic and early Neolithic. End the day in style, with a traditional meal that will surely make you fall in love with this area. We will stop at a local barn, where the people from the village craft traditional and reinvented dishes. The owners search for authentic, honest ingredients and they change the menu seasonally, depending on what they find interesting in their smallfarmers network.
